On April 1st, 1116, in the Senlo calendar, at 13:46, a colossal rift materialized above the northern district of Hailin City. Through it tumbled a fragmented world, leading to an intersection of realms at this very spot...
Soon after, crystals emanating unknown energies formed amidst the ruins. Research into these crystalline entities unveiled a group of individuals awakening to special abilities due to the influence of these mysterious crystals, known as “Echomancer”.
Humanity was thrust into a new era, one coexisting with unknown energies, belonging to the age of Scientific Electronics Experiment and Development (S.E.E.D.).
Ash Echoes is an interdimensional real-time combat RPG that intersects multiple worlds. Developed with the advanced Unreal Engine, the game is rooted in a unique and expansive universe. It's a terrible onboarding process. The game mechanics introduced early on don't actually exist in subsequent levels (i.e. moving your team around freely), and the story is a long-winded mess of irrelevant jargon. Tons of playable characters are thrown at you, but you are given no guidance as to how to actually use them, and the skill descriptions are incredibly wordy, convoluted, and unclear. It honestly feels like a game made by AI, as it lacks any human intuition.

Bonus star because the combat and environments are interesting. Looks like it has potential. Unfortunately it's yet another poorly structured money grab it seems. Very few start up rewards including a limited selector after first 30 pulls. limited energy and daily build potential without spending on extremely overpriced packs they might label as "discounted" lol, or investing way too much time. Also they go out of their way to make rerolling a hastle. Too bad looked cool.

Art and music are good. The game tries to add too many complications to the gameplay while giving you walls of text to explain everything every time. They could work better on streamlining level and gameplay information while actually letting you play the game. At this rate giving me a forced tutorial for spotlights in one battle map while not letting me play as I want is just OD. Devs need to learn how to streamline information without force-feeding a million tutorials to you.
