This game is pretty good. However, there are some flaws. First, this is the only port he made where you can't go back and get all the Chaos Emeralds, or in this case, the Time Stones. Second, every Special Stage after the 4th one sucks. But I would take them any day if I had to choose between the Sonic CD Special Stages and the Sonic 1 Special Stages. And again, why can't restart when you have only 1 life! It's a problem with the other ports, too! Anyways, this game is still very good. đź‘Ť

A decent port of the original. The controls do feel a little off at times, often causing issues with game play. I can't compare this to the Sega CD original, but there are glitches throughout (one causing Sonic to get stuck in a conveyor belt and die). The widescreen is very nice, though the controls do obscure Sonic at times. Ads on the free version are annoying like all ads are. When beating the game the original ending videos would be nice to see, but all we get instead is a picture of Tails.

Faithful to the SegaCD/MegaCD original but with plenty of bonus features and quality of life improvements! By far the definitive official way to play Sonic CD! The only gripes I have are that the D-Pad is a tad bit small and that you have to be online. It makes sense for the free version (so you can't just turn off your WiFi to get rid of ads), but it does not for when you remove the ads. This isn't enough to lower my score though, as this is an issue with the Sega Forever line-up as a whole.
