This book is amazing. I'm normally not a person who likes non-fiction, this is probably the only one that I've ever fully read and enjoyed and especially the first one I've wanted to read again. And in it's own way, this book has saved my life. When I'm feeling depressed, especially when I'm Really depressed, I open up this book and read. It gives me a sense of calm and hope and mindfulness, and it shows me that want I'm going through will once again pass. I will make it through this, the pain is not too much to bear, and I will live. So thank you, Matt Haig, for stepping out of your comfort zone and writing this book. in doing so you've saved my life and likely many more.

This book explains how people get to that point, but it's like chronic pain that nobody can see, you're suffering, but treated as though you are fine! The author describes experiences that I have been through! I developed anxiety with panic with my first pregnancy at 25 yrs old, I knew my fears and feelings of doom, and feeling I was dying because I had never felt like that before! The Author speaks of this as well! I have every intention of buying the book, even though I am not living in the torture of years ago I have an adult daughter who is feeling each symptom listed, she feels like she's going to die or has a serious illness all the time! 😪

Had my first experience with anxiety this year, not understanding what was going on within my own mind..questioning normalcy. I found this book through a quote someone shared on Facebook and thought it might be about consumerism and happiness. Im so glad I decided to buy this without investigating further. It could not have been a more pleasant surprise. I'd recommend anyone to read this. Explore your mind and your own mental health through the experience and advice of another.
