This was a piece I created for Istockphoto as royalty free stock image: http://www.istockphoto.com/photo/future-ruined-cityscape-67112269 The image itself is a simple destroyed, post apocalypse, city background. I wanted to create a very generic piece that could allow for many different possibilities. As this is a piece for istockphoto, I also had to be conscious of creating a composition that would work with copy space in editorial content. I used a combination of Photography, 3d and paint…

A desolate landscape, scorched and barren, the sun a malevolent eye in the sky. A lone figure, shrouded in darkness, stands amidst the ruins of a once-thriving city. A single raven perches on a broken column, its cry echoing the emptiness of a world forsaken by God.
