Trying to get back into astro photography, tried a while ago and failed. This is my first real attempt. This is the star Vega in the constellation Lyra. Vega’s constellation Lyra is said to be the harp played by the legendary Greek musician Orpheus. It’s said that when Orpheus played this harp, neither god nor mortal could turn away. Vega is sometimes called the Harp Star. Vega is the 5th brightest star visible from Earth. It is about 25 light-years in distance.

LYR #Lira, #Lyra, #Lyrae, #Lyr. It is a summer constellation (the meridian culminates at around 22 of August 1). It covers 286 square degrees. Lyre (Lyra in Latin) is a constellation in the northern hemisphere, it was also part of the 48 listed by Ptolemy. The Lira is not very big, but it can be found easily thanks to its star α, Vega, which is one of the brightest stars in the sky and is part of the Summer Triangle.

Vega, the fifth-brightest star, is in the prime of its life on the main sequence, but it's notable for its speedy spin and infrared-radiating debris disk.

Vega starseeds, also known as Vegans, are said to originate from the Lyra constellation and are associated with the bright star Sirius.
