Did You Know? All of our guest rooms include a thermostat that regulates temperature by detected guest presence. All clleaning methods emphasize biodegradable products in reusable containers. Guests are offered reusable glasses and mugs in their rooms. The guests are offered the option to reuse towels and other linens. All bathrooms offer “Green” Aveda amenities. Low-flow plumbing in included in every guest bathroom.
Fun Fact: The chairs located in Tejas are constructed of recycled seat belts.
The courtyard has native plants from the five ecological regions of Texas. They all use drip irrigation to conserve water. Two mature live oak trees were reclaimed from the construction site of Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium and now call the center grounds home
During construction, an extensive recycling program prevented 75% of construction waste material from ending up in a landfill.

Did You Know? The AT Conference Center is made up of over 65% recycled materials. The concrete building structure is 20% fly ash, a remnant of burning coal obtained from a nearby power plant, something that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill.
