160K views · 5.4K reactions | How to layer your nighttime skincare routine like a dermatologist. All of these step’s aren’t necessary, but here’s the order I recommend to get the best results from your skincare routine: Step 1: (only if you are wearing make-up). Pour micellar water (like Garnier Micellar Water) on to a cotton pad and gently press against skin to remove make-up. Step 2: Use a water-based cleanser like the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. Start here if you aren’t wearing make-up. Step 3: Toner. If you choose to use a toner, I prefer soothing toners at night that contain ingredients that support the skin barrier, like the Anua Rice 70 Milky Toner. Step 4: Serums, layered thinnest to thickest. You don’t need 10 serums - I would probably pick max 2-3 based on your skincare concern. Peptide serums (like SkinDeva Argireline 20% with Matrixyl 3000) are the way to go for fine lines/wrinkles, and dark spot serums containing brightening actives (like Good Molecules Discoloration Defense) are my pick to even out skin tone Step 5: Apply a pea-sized amount of a retinoid (like Differin adapalene gel) and spread evenly on your skin. Step 6: Moisturizer, like CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. NEVER skip moisturizer if using a retinoid and apply a nice thick layer. Step 7: Eye cream, like the Andalou Rejuvenating Eye Balm which contains bakuchiol which may help plump under eye lines and reduce dark circles #nighttimeskincare #skincareorder #skincaretips #fyp | Dr. Neera

4.7M views · 42K reactions | Here’s a simple routine to smooth skin texture using drugstore products I swear by as a dermatologist. Bumpy, textured skin is really common and can be due to a combination of clogged pores, comedonal acne, flaky skin and acne scars. If you are bothered by these changes, here’s what I recommend to smooth out your skin: 1. Use PanOxyl 4% cleanser in the AM. PanOxyl (benzoyl peroxide) is anti-inflammatory and comedolytic and is a great, affordable product to help get rid of tiny skin bumps due to acne that contribute to texture. To use, lather on face, leave on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse off and follow with sunscreen. 2. Use a gentle exfoliating peel weekly. My favorite drugstore peel that is gentle enough for at home use if the L’Oreal Paris Bright Reveal Exfoliating Peel. It contains a 25% blend of exfoliating acids including AHAs, BHAs and PHAs. To use, apply to clean skin at night, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, then rinse off well and follow with a moisturizer. This is a great product for brighter, smoother looking skin within days. 3. Apply adapalene 0.1% gel (like Differin) in the PM. Adapalene is a retinoid available OTC that is really effective for comedones, can minimize pore appearance and can even help smooth acne scars that contribute to skin texture. Apply a pea sized amount to the entire face and spread evenly. Begin by using a few times per week and work up as tolerated. Follow with moisturizer. Skip on evenings you use the exfoliating peel. #bumpyskin #skincareroutine #comedones #fyp | Dr. Neera

You might find it in candy - like Whoppers Malted Milk Balls - food, and even cosmetics under the name “lac resin” or “confectioner’s glaze”. #animals #science #learnontiktok | Odd Animal Specimens

9.7M views · 487 reactions | How to treat comedonal acne like a dermatologist. Comedones are tiny bumps on the face that are either open (blackheads) or closed (whiteheads) and are a type of acne. If their appearance or texture bothers you, here’s a routine that will help smooth out your skin: 1. Cleanse with PanOxyl 4% in the AM. Lather on damp skin and then leave on for 1-2 minutes so that the active (benzoyl peroxide) has enough contact time with the skin to actually work. 2. Apply a salicylic acid (BHA) toner 3-4x/week in the AM. Salicylic acid is really effective at unclogging pores and reducing skin oils. Look for toners that contain up to 2% salicylic acid, or a combination of salicylic acid and AHAs, like glycolic acid, like the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Face Toner (this is a leave-on treatment and does not need to be rinsed off). Always follow with sunscreen. 3. Apply a pea-sized amount of adapalene 0.1% gel (like Differin) at night. Begin by using a few times per week and work your way up to nightly as tolerated. Adapalene is a retinoid & is probably the best OTC treatment for comedones and texture. Follow with a moisturizer. It’s called the “Legendary 4 Chord Progression” - you may have heard of it. It’s kinda the “cheat code” to learning piano fast as a beginner. In fact, I’ve seen students learn it in a day or two, and suddenly they “magically” play a bunch of songs for their friends and family (the look on their faces is priceless 😂) It’s not hard to learn, you just gotta learn the right steps in the right order. Literally thousands of students are using this new method to learn songs in record speed. Work SMARTER not HARDER - that’s my motto 😉 Anyway - if you want to learn this system FAST and surprise your friends & family on the keys… …I got a free course that goes in-depth into exactly how to learn it, step-by-step - Comment the word "COURSE" below and I'll message you with the info 🎹 . . #pianotutorial #learnpiano #pianolesson #pianoteacher | piano_superhuman
