Setting classroom expectations

We are using a new program at our school this year called RULER. Instead of rules, we came up with a Classroom Charter. It was labor intensive and really challenged the kids to think, but I love how it came out. :heart: #emotionsmatter #emotionalintellige

High expectations are important in any upper elementary classroom and there are THREE ways that I make sure that I am set up for success. Classroom Rules. I find that making classroom rules in agreement with my students helps to increase their sense of belonging and responsibility in and to the classroom. It also helps to boost their accountability for their actions and builds a set of expectations.
