I’ve been brainstorming on a way to fill this wasted space under our “kitchen desk” for quite some time. The idea of using this space as an actual desk felt outdated to me and not realistic for the flow of our home. Did I want a beverage bar? Some sort of wine rack? Or do I just go the easy route and throw some sort of cute stool or bench under there? Finally it hit me, keep it simple with shelving. With the expertise of my dad and handy hubby they brought my vision to life. Two pieces of wood, a couple coats of stain that surprisingly blend so well with our cabinets, and some 1/4 round to hold them in place I have a new spot to decorate and store linens and am happy to have a more complete look! Doesn’t it feel great to complete a house project that’s been on your radar for awhile?
