Not only is this good for solidifying a skill learnt, but will also help if your child did not take to the activity the first time.  2 - Make sure the activity is at an appropriate level of difficulty. If you want your child to learn something new, you need to try and provide an activity that provides a bit of a challenge. When in this space, your child is best positioned to extend their knowledge.  3 -Don't offer too many activities in one day. Less is more here. If your child is not in the mood to do an activity, don't keep pressing the issue. Activities are only useful if they are interested. If you force them to do them, you will create a negative association for them, which is detrimental in the long term. Wondering what kind of activities you can set up for your child? Follow me, then comment CLUB to check out our Curious Minds Club, an activity membership created to help parents who are time-starved and thin on ideas. Every month, I send you 10 activities that I, an experienced teacher, have created. These include activities that are specifically designed to move their bodies, sensory play and even art! 🌈 If you'd like to see a sample activity, comment PEEK and I'll send one to you. All my activities come with modification instructions so you can change the activity to suit your child's skill level. There are no other activity guides out there like this! 72K views · 4.1K reactions | Comment “week 37” and I’ll send you all the sheets you saw in today’s video as well as some of the supplies I can link. This week’s theme is all about the letter P to match our alphabet adventure! I make these for my 2.5 year old toddler to do while I sit next to her and homeschool my 1st grade. If I were to interact with her and these bins then we’d easily get 2x-3x times the play length and while some days I can, others I need a little more independent play happening. But sensory play should ALWAYS be supervised and you as the parent knows what your toddler is capable of handling! 1. Popcorn 🍿- this was an extremely low effort sensory bin and sometimes they’re a hit but other times there’s just not enough interaction in the bin for my toddler to want to play with it for a long time. 2. Pets- these dollar tree kennel toys might by the biggest hit and it’s always fun to do small world play sensory bins. I find these are always a huge hit 3. Pizza 🍕 playdoh- my kids are both huge on playdoh and my 6 year old wanted to play with this the whole time so these are great for multiple ages! I did have to help open the playdoh and provide play ideas for my toddler, understandably, but there’s so many great fine motor skills to be made here! #toddlers #toddlersensory #toddleractivities #toddleractivity #toddlerdevelopment #finemotorskills #finemotoractivity #sensoryplay #sensoryplayideas #sensory #dollartreediy #asmr #asmrvideo | Celena Kinsey

To color the chickpeas I just used white acrylic paint in a zip lock bag, shake to coat then lay out to fully dry and have fun! It was a simple set up that’s lots of fun. Save and share to try! 🫶🏻☃️❄️ #sensorybin #winteractivitiesforkids #kidsactivities #sensoryplay #preschoolactivities #finemotoractivities #toddleractivities #activitiesforkids #easyplayideas | Jessie | Sensory Play•Autism Advocacy•Kids Activities
