This is the adult version of the summer friendship bracelet that you made in your youth. You will love the luxury of the silk on your skin, and the shimmer of the glass beads when you wear them. This is my Marsha Neal Studio Muted Garden silk color palette. And I have made a custom bead mix of Miyuki size 5 triangle beads to coordinate. I have picked out 1mm cotton cords and my ceramic disc beads glazed in various colors to give you a palette that works together. I also offer these without my ceramic disc beads (called Cord Kits) so you can add your own closure button. Good luck trying to keep all five of these for yourself, as your crafty friend may just have to have one immediately! The first photo shows this color palette on my arm. The second photo shows this color palette against a neutral background. The third photo shows the supplies you will receive: BRACELET KIT: (5) 2mm Silk Cord, (5) 1mm cotton cord, (1) bag of TR5 glass beads, (5) Marsha Neal Studio Porcelain Disc Beads. This kit provides you with enough materials for you to make 5 Beaded Silk Braided Wrap Bracelets in the manner of the last two photos. CORD KIT: (5) 2mm Silk Cord, (5) 1mm cotton cord, and (1) bag of TR5 glass beads. This kit provides you with enough materials for you to make 5 Beaded Silk Braided Cords - for which you can supply your own closure beads or buttons. On average the finished bead braid section of these should be about 15 inches long + the length of the loop for the button closure and the extra non-beaded braid. For an average size wrist this should create a double wrap bracelet. The bracelet kit comes packaged in a clear top jewelry box. The Cord kit comes packages in a small baggie. Each kit contains a small binder clip is so that you can clip the strings to your whatever is around so you can braid. There are printed instructions in each kit. You will also need: A work surface (tray or table top). Sharp scissors (for cutting excess string off). If you choose to use it - fabric glue or E6000 epoxy. If you purchase the cord kit, you will need your own disc beads or buttons. *YouTube Video for directions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFT9Rf8A8PE&feature=youtu.be *Printable pdf directions can be found online at: http://blog.marshanealstudio.com/beaded-silk-cord-bracelet-instructions/ Care of bracelets: These are silk & cotton. Please do not expose to harsh chemicals, salt water, chlorine water, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. If you need to wash one, hand-wash with a mild detergent (Ivory) then lay on a towel to dry, patting most of the wetness out. Please be aware that some hand soaps have harsh chemicals in them, so be cautious when using an unknown soap. Should Be Obvious Safety Notes: Please note that this kit and its contents are not a toy, and it is not intended for children. The person making this should be able to make a braid. You sometimes have to un-think to do this as an adult. Beads are small (tiny actually) and can be a choking hazard. Do not stick them up your nose or in your ears. It is not fun to have them removed. Ask my niece who tried that with a pebble from the garden. Not fun for my sister-in-law or my niece. Strings are long and should be kept out of reach of children and pets. Yes. Your cat will find these irresistible if you dangle them in front of them. You have been warned. Scissors are sharp and can cut or poke you. Make sure you have the kind of sharp scissors that are for fabric only. I am giving you permission to go buy a new pair. Seriously - this is your chance! You "need" them... If you choose to use Epoxy, glue, and adhesives, please read the directions as many have fumes not ok to breathe and they may adhere to things other than the intended object. Overall - have fun with these! Get enough to do these with your crafty friends as it can be quite addictive. I do try to ship these right away, but I may need to make more ceramic beads or order in more supplies to fill orders. With the silks being hand painted, some colors may be discontinued. I will do my best to be ahead of that and make replacements clear in the photos. Please keep in mind when ordering that it may take a couple of weeks to get to you (I would contact you to let you know if it were more than a couple of days for me to ship). Leave me a note on the order in the message to seller if you have any requests. THANKS!
