The shape of the earrings has been hand-cut and the individual pieces fixed together with copper rivets. This product was made using a hammering technique. The larger square of the dangle was made of alpacca metal. The smaller one was made of copper. The earrings are comfortable to wear and not very weighty but due to the combination of two metals they weigh a little. If you are used to wearing larger semi-precious metal earrings you should have no problem with that. Copper and its earthy colour represents our connection to nature and grounding. The silver colour of the alpaca metal adds a gentle feminine energy to our lives. Moonstone supports us in harmonious spiritual development, helps our intuition to grow, and strengthens our sensitivity. Earrings made of 0.5 mm thick sheet metal. This may damage (dissolve) the protective lacquer layer (protection from natural tarnishing process. - Take good care of your jewelry: take it off for sleeping, bathing and swimming, avoid washing your hands in jewelry, avoid salt water, chlorine water, scrubs, soap and other detergents and solvents. - WARNING Never use chemical cleaners on copper, brass, alpacca, etc. This will not only remove the natural darker layer of tarnish but will also remove the dark oxidized patina/coloured paints that I use to enhance the designs on the jewelry. - To keep your jewelry from oxidizing so quickly, store it in a ziplock bag or airtight container.
