My kids and I recently spent the day in Kokomo and despite it being a horribly rainy day, we had a fantastic time exploring the city and it's treasures. Prior to the trip, I was guided to a lengthy list of things to do from the local visitor bureau that would appeal to my two kids and my tastes.

In the late 1800s a natural gas discovery in Kokomo, Indiana, led to a huge manufacturing boom, particularly in the gas and automotive industries. We visited five Kokomo attractions that reflect the area's gas boom history.
