Partial solar eclipse

On Monday, August 21, the nation will see a rare astronomical event: a total eclipse of the sun, caused when the moon moves directly between the sun and the earth.

We see four eclipses in 2022, two in May, one in October, and November. Two are a Partial Solar Eclipse, the other two are a Total Lunar Eclipse.

Although we weren't in the path for a full solar eclipse, I was able to shoot a good portion of the eclipse from my front yard.

My best telephoto shot as the sun cleared the trees. Tech Stuff: Canon EOS 400D; Canon 75-300 zoom at 300mm. Single frame 1/4000 at f/25, ISO 100. Processed in PixInsight and ACDSee.
