In honor of the film’s 80th anniversary, a look back at a few anecdotes that have not aged as well as the 1939 classic.

Original cast members Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope both recently departed the West End production of THE WIZARD OF OZ, and have been replaced by Over the Rainbow finalist Sopie Evans and Russell Grant and Dorothyand the Wizard respectively. Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) was the main antagonist in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. Edison has liked to watch The Wizard of Oz since he was a baby and even now at nearly four enjoys sitting on my lap and joining me in a viewing.
