The pin posted is an activity to help nurture children's social - emotional development. Through engaging this activity they can have quality interactions with their peers. This can also facilitate their understanding who they are, what they are feeling, and what to expect when interactions with others. As children engage in various forms of social play and are supported to recognize the varied capabilities and characteristics of other children, they learn to get along with others; to negotiate, collaborate, and communicate; and to care for others. Studies show that when educators modelled and helped children express feelings, recognize others’ feelings, and help others, children develop positive social skills ( Pickens, 2009; Schultz et al., 2011.).
