This is a truly magnificent English bracket clock case dating from the middle of the 18th century and would originally contained a double/triple fusee verge movement and was used by the very top London makers such as Prior,Markham etc.There is currently a functioning late 19th century 8 day French moon phase movement fitted. Genuine clocks of this type sell at auction for £40-£60000 so if someone has an appropriate movement this case represents an excellent buy.
