A sparkling red spinel gemstone is centered on this vintage 1940s 14k yellow/white gold diamond ring. The Heintz Bros. Inc. (est. 1934, Buffalo, NY) made the vintage setting with a raised pierced solitaire gallery and classic styling. The .10 carat natural spinel gem is of deep pink to red color and measures approx. 2.7mm round with a 1.8mm depth. Each shoulder is set with one .01 carat 1.8mm diamond. The gemstone settings are of white gold and the sturdy band is of yellow gold. The ring measures a size 6 and could be re-sized by an experienced jeweler. The ring is stamped, "14k" and signed with conjoined, "HB" (hallmark attributed to the Heintz Bros.). The high polish vintage setting is in very good condition with minor age wear. The center gemstone was missing when this setting was acquired and the newly replaced spinel gem is in excellent condition. Please see photos for condition and detailed measurements below. The newly replaced center gemstone in this ring is from the earth, natural, recently faceted and came to me via help from a fellow gemologist who lives and works in Thailand.
