Long Layering Necklace with Cowrie Shells Mermaid Beach Necklace, Ethnic Inspired Shell Jewelry Cowrie Shells, Crocheted Hemp This is a hemp-shells version of my usual 52" long layering necklace I make with semi-precious beads. The necklace is crocheted with a variegated hemp cord, with the shell beads evenly placed. I put a loop on one end, and a shell on the other for closure.
