Excellent rare antique 19th century North Indian wedding saree, exceptionally long 15 feet 7 inches all hand embroidered with mirrorwork, a beautiful heirloom textile. The saree is made of burgundy red cotton fabric covered entirely with hand embroidered peacocks, flowers and other traditional designs done in silk thread in colors of golden orange, creamy white, green, magenta, midnight blue and more with mirrorwork incorporated throughout the design. From a private collection of a antique rug and textile dealer, it has been carefully stored away for many years. Condition: Very good antique condition, a few small holes and some tears on the edge without embroidery and on one end see photo #10, there is some thread loss to the white embroidered flowers, some of the mirrors are cracked, overall amazingly nice condition!
