coastal oyster necklace

A lovely gift for friends, family or even yourself! This is the perfect necklace for lovers of all things coastal with a simple nautilus design. I hand gather all shells along the beaches of Northport on the North Shore of Long Island. All shells are cleaned for several hours then the image is decoupaged on the oyster. Several coats of sealer is given to each shell to create a glossy finish. Glass and stone beads are added, along with green moss and a flower and then it is finished off with a supple black 18" corded necklace. The back of the oyster is left natural. Not sealed to be water resistant. Since each shell is unique, I will message with photos to choose from if I have multiples of a design you wish to purchase. Please Note: other than being thoroughly cleaned, the shells have not been altered in any way. Some of nature's slight imperfections may be visible. Shell approximately 1.5" x 2" each
