Sterling Silver Beads Handcrafted in Turkey Signature Hallmark on Interior Silver & Black Cord Adjustable Pull-Closure Decades of experience designing luxury menswear give John Varvatos the ability to create an unconventional piece like this. He did this using a simple form and only two materials. Each of them is crowned with his distinct style that lives in all of his pieces. But especially in this one. That’s because of two artistic choices. One is Sterling Silver. Over the years, this became a metal that the artist uses most frequently in his works. The firm structure and the abundance of durability make sure the piece will retain the shape he intended. The chances of bending, denting, or damaging are minimized, making sure your piece lasts for decades. Sterling Silver also comes on top when it comes to the shine, compared to standard silver or some other precious metals. While they are quite prone to tarnishing, Sterling Silver’s enhancements resist it, so the metal remains unchanged for decades. Another choice that’s a “JV” classic is a distressed look that may seem like only an esthetical choice, but it’s also a testament to handcrafting. The artisan’s swift movement of the hammer has made every miniature crater while the metal had still been hot. The result is a beautiful line of moon-like beads that span from one side to the other. They are held together by a black paracord line that has multiple layers of tear-proof threading. Near the clasp, the paracord takes a braided form that offsets the silver tones and elevates the entire composition. There’s a small silver skull on both ends of the line that serves as an anchor to the slide clasp. The designer’s initials are engraved on one side of the clasp as a sign of authenticity.
