A stunning yet delicate diamond ring made at the turn of the century. This ring shows all the characteristics of the Belle Époque period. The intricately done ajour work, or cut out work is almost resemble lace. In Great Britain this style would be referred to as Edwardian. The slightly domed design sits quite low on the finger, which makes this an elegant and great piece to wear daily. This piece surely would be the most perfect engagement ring! Featuring an old European cut diamond in the center, surrounded by nine smaller diamonds. All of good quality and good fire. Diameter of the center diamond: 3.5 mm./ ca. 0.17 ct. Provenance: probably Portugal, since this ring was made of 19.2 white gold. Hallmarked: a dog's head in an octagonal cartouche, for 19.2 carat. Ring size: 48 FR/15.5 mm/4.5 US. Gross weight: 2.7 g. N.B. Resizing is possible, however the additional costs are for the client. I would be happy to help you out if necessary to arrange the resizing with my regular gold smith.
