Emerald, a grass-green variety of the beryl family, has been considered a visually soothing stone since ancient times. This elegant antique Victorian ring (circa 1840-1860) features a vibrant emerald cabochon surrounded by a halo of glistening old mixed cut diamonds. The face of the ring is silver, while the band is 14k gold. The emerald cabochon is a later replacement and not original to the ring. The ring is currently a size 6. The condition is good; however, there is surface wear to the emerald and some surface reaching inclusions (visible only under magnification). Materials: emerald, natural emerald, diamond, silver, 14k gold.
