The earrings are slightly different in shape and size but nearly identical in weight, so the asymmetry of the design will not cause you any discomfort. You'll also have to select your ear wire option before checkout. Vermeil is gold plated sterling silver. "Gold-filled" means a thicker coating of gold over a base metal. The 14kt gold-filled hooks I offer have a tiny hallmark. You won't be able to read it without a magnifying glass but you can feel it with your finger. Gold-plated hooks are made of copper wire covered with a thing layer of gold. All other options are made of non-precious metals (which is reflected in the price).
