- "It isn't fair. I'm old enough to go outside the fortress walls."
"The rules are for your safety. Now, come with me." - ―Verosha Aniseya and Koril
Brendok fortress was a former mining facility in the Northlands[3] of the planet Brendok, annexed by a coven of witches led by Mother Aniseya[1] following their exile. For many years during the High Republic Era, they operated in peace there.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Introduced in the 2024 television series The Acolyte, the design of Brendok fortress was inspired by the 1947 British film Black Narcissus by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, set at a nuns' mountain retreat in the Indian Himalayas, coupled with the Hoover Dam in the United States.[4]
