The Bronze Nova for Conspicuous Gallantry was an award handed out by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Rebel pilot Shara Bey earned this award for her actions during the Liberation of Gorma.[1] In 5 ABY,[2] Alphabet Squadron pilot Nath Tensent of the New Republic was awarded it after he and his droid T5 dove their BTL Y-wing starfighter into a missile launched by Shadow Wing. He wore it to a party a few days after the Troithe operation wrapped up.[3]

In Shadow Fall, the Dark Secrets of Alphabet Squadron Revealed on StarWars.com (backup link) establishes that Shadow Fall takes place approximately half a year after the Battle of Endor, while Before the Awakening states Kes Dameron and Shara Bey moved to Yavin 4 around six months after the Battle of Endor. Given that Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates their move to 5 ABY, the events of Shadow Fall must also take place around that time.
