Daniel Davis, born on November 26, 1945 in Gurdon, Arkansas, is an American actor.[1] His best known roles include Niles the butler on the popular sitcom The Nanny[2] and Professor James Moriarty in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.[3]

In 2012, Davis narrated the audiobook of Darth Plagueis.[4] In the following years, Davis would join other Star Wars voice artist for the audiobooks in the William Shakespeare's Star Wars series.[5] Davis would return to Star Wars in 2023 to narrate the short story "To the Last" in the audiobook of From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[6]
