The Kraken-class deep lurker was a class of submersible that was armed with heavy weaponry but were vulnerable to starfighter counter-attacks. During the Troithe operation, six deep lurkers fired from below Troithe's surface and inflicted heavy casualties on a New Republic ground convoy that was en route to capture the Troithe capital. Several vehicles, including Republic HAVw A6 Juggernauts, were destroyed. The lurkers were then shortly destroyed in turn by Alphabet Squadron.^[1]
