Sunrise's civil war was a civil war fought on the planet Sunrise in the Unknown Regions around 19 BBY.^[2] The civil war was orchestrated by Haplif of the Agbui, a servant of the Grysk "Jixtus," and devastated much of the planet. The Magys and around 200 of her species fled the war as refugees to the planet Rapacc.^[1] After the refugees escaped Sunrise, that planet was taken over and mined for nyix by the Agbui.^[1]

Nyix from Sunrise was subsequently used extensively in Haplif and Jixtus' plot to destroy the Chiss Ascendancy.^[1]

The Sunrise civil war was mentioned in Timothy Zahn's 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, the second book of Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.^[1]
