Schedule and share report results

Generate reports on specified intervals and share the results

You can set up reports to generate new results at specified intervals on a recurring basis. You can schedule them to run automatically, and share them with different users without having to manually intervene each time the results for a given report are generated.

Schedule your report

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. While creating a report or editing an existing report, go to the Editors and scheduling section.
  3. In the Schedule section, select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
This selection determines how frequently results will be generated from your report. After Ad Manager has processed data for the scheduled time period, scheduled reports run as early as possible on the next calendar day. Publishers can choose any day between the 1st and 28th of the month when scheduling monthly report generation.
  4. Select a date range, then click Apply.
Reports can be scheduled up to a year in advance.
  5. (Optional) To share report results with others, under "Add recipients," enter email addresses or names.
  6. Choose a file format for the shared report, such as CSV, XLSX, or Google Drive.
To share a report using the Google Drive file format, you must first grant Ad Manager access to your Google Drive. Learn more about sharing a report using the Google Drive file format.
7. Select the report sharing options:
    1. Check Include header to display the following information in shared reports:
      • Unique, system-defined report ID
      • Timestamp of when the report was generated
      • Name of the network for which you ran the report
      • Name of the user who generated the report
      • Report date range
      • List of included metrics that are accredited by the MRC for Display, Video, and Rich Media including Mobile Web
    2. Check Include IDs to include separate ID columns, such as "Line item ID," in addition to the name columns.
    3. Check Notify creator if you want Ad Manager to email you with scheduled report results.
  8. Make sure you have given the report a meaningful name.
  9. Click Save. The report will run according to the schedule you defined.

Share report results

You can share results generated from a report with your team, whether the report is scheduled or not. To find reports you've run, click Reporting and then Reports.

Open the report to share, then complete the following steps.

Share a scheduled report

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. After scheduling your report, enter the email addresses or names of people you want to share the report results with. The list populates with your Ad Manager network's users and contacts as you type.

For each user with whom you share results, you can decide whether to send them the report as a link, an attachment, or both a link and attachment. Only send a link to users who have access to your Ad Manager network. For contacts, you can only send the report as an attachment. Scheduled reports that are larger than 10.49MB are sent in a .zip file.

Share reports with people outside of your Ad Manager network
You can share reports with people who are not registered users or contacts in Ad Manager. Enter their email address, then click the address when it displays in the drop-down.

People not registered as a user or contact in your Ad Manager network won't have access to the Ad Manager user interface.

  3. Make sure you have given the report a meaningful name. Click Save. This report will run and be shared according to schedule you've defined.

Share one-time report results

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Create and run your report.
  3. Click Share and configure recipients after your report results have loaded.

Sharing a report using the Google Drive file format

When you share, schedule, or export a report using the Google Drive file format, the report is uploaded as a new file to your Google Drive and attached to a notification email. You need to grant Ad Manager access to your Google Drive account to allow it to upload the file.

You can remove Ad Manager’s access to your Google Drive at any time.

If you granted Ad Manager access to your Google Drive before May 12, 2020, you will need to grant permission again to continue using the Google Drive file format.
