Fix Google Chat errors on your computer

If you get a Google Chat error on your computer, there are some ways you can try to fix the issue.

  • "Unable to load chat."
  • "Trying to connect to chat."
  • "Can't connect to chat."
  • "Can’t load the list of spaces. Try again in a minute."
Uninstall browser extensions and apps

Some extensions and apps might block Google Chat from loading. To fix this issue, you can:

  1. Uninstall active extensions.
  2. Uninstall active apps.
  3. Browse privately to avoid the use of extensions.
