Report messages in Google Chat

You can report messages that are inappropriate or that violate your organization’s guidelines in Google Chat. This feature is only available in:

• Google Workspace for Education Standard
• Google Workspace for Education Plus
• Google Workspace Enterprise Plus

Important:

• Before you can report messages, your admin must turn on Chat content reporting for your organization.
• Your admin sets up the types of messages that you can report in Chat. If you don’t see the option to report a message, you won’t be able to send the message to your admin for review.
• You can only report messages sent in your organization. Chat history must be turned on in the conversation.

Report a specific message

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chat app or Gmail app .
   • In Gmail: At the bottom, tap Chat .
2. Open a conversation.
3. Tap and hold the message.
4. From the available message actions, tap More options   Report.
5. Enter your feedback.
6. Tap Send .
   • The report is sent to your admin to review.
