Fix problems pairing your headset

Try the solutions below if:

• Your Daydream View headset won't pair or sync with your phone that has the Daydream app
• You want to switch your headset from Cardboard to Daydream, or vice versa

Change headset to Daydream

If your Daydream app is set up for Cardboard and you’d like to switch to the Daydream headset, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Get your phone ready to pair

For Android 7.0 devices

1. Open your phone's Settings app .
2. Under "Wireless & networks," tap More .
3. Make sure NFC is turned on.

For Android 8.0 and 9.0 devices

1. Open your phone's Settings app .
2. Under "Connected devices," tap NFC.
3. Make sure NFC is turned on.

Step 2: Put your phone in the headset

After you put your phone with the Daydream app into the front of the Daydream headset, they will pair.

The Daydream headset will also be automatically set as your default device and you won’t have to pair each time.

Change headset viewer to Cardboard

If your Daydream app is set up for the Daydream headset and you’d like to change to Cardboard:

1. Open the Daydream app .
2. Tap Menu .
3. Tap Settings   Headset.
4. Scan the QR code on your Cardboard viewer. (The code is normally on the side or bottom of your Cardboard device.)
