Add a back-up payment method to the GFiber App

We regularly update the GFiber App with new features to help make it even easier for you to manage your home or business network. We’ll be making improvements throughout 2025 and beyond, so your GFiber App might look different from the examples below.

A back-up payment method serves as a safety net to ensure that your service is not interrupted. If your primary payment method doesn't work for some reason, we will charge your backup payment method for your Google Fiber service.

To add a back-up payment method:

  1. Touch Account.
  2. Touch Manage payments.
  3. In the How you pay section, touch Manage Payment Methods.          
  4. Scroll to the bottom, touch Add Payment Method.                     
  5. Select the type of payment method you want to add; then enter the required information.    
  6. If you need to change or add an address for the payment type, touch the address box and select or add an address. (If you’re adding an address, enter only the zip code.)
  7. Click Save.
  8. From the drop-down list on the new payment method card, select Backup.
