Make and receive calls and messages on Fitbit Ace LTE

Using Fitbit Ace LTE, your child can call and message their:

  • Parents
  • Siblings in the same Google Family group with their own Fitbit Ace LTE or Ace app
  • Google Family group members through a Family group chat
  • Up to 20 contacts who are adults or caregivers over the age of 13 or siblings with the Ace app installed

Requirements

  • An active Ace Pass data plan
  • An Internet connection on the Fitbit Ace LTE, either WiFi or LTE
  • Contacts must have a Google account and the Ace app installed or a Fitbit Ace LTE. To learn more, go to Add and manage contacts on Fitbit Ace LTE.
  • If adding a contact with their own Fitbit Ace LTE (such as a sibling), they must be in the same Google Family group as your child.

Calls, messages, and voice messages

On your watch

  1. On Fitbit Ace LTE, press the top side button once.
  2. Under 'call' or 'message', tap the contact’s name or Family chat . To learn more about Family chat, go to Create and manage a Family group chat.

 

  • Call: Tap
  • Draft and send a message: Select a template response or scroll to the bottom to use the keyboard  to send a message.
  • Emoji: Tap  and then select the emoji that yo want to send.
  • Audio message: Tap and hold the microphone  icon to record your message. Then tap Send to send the message.
  • Voice to Text message: Scroll to the bottom to find the keyboard then tap the microphone icon to turn on voice dictation. Tap the Check mark once you’re done then tap Send to send the message.

Notifications of missed calls and messages

  • A white dot on the homescreen below the time indicates that a new notification is available. To check the notification tray, swipe up from the homescreen.

  • If your Fitbit Ace LTE is unable to receive notifications, go to Get notifications and fix common issues.


On the Fitbit Ace app

  • On the child card, tap either Call to place a call or Message to draft a message.
  • To start a Family chat, tap on Family chat at the bottom of the home screen.
  • Your call and message history is displayed under ‘Message.’

Missed calls

If you have missed calls that you weren’t notified of, make sure that incoming call notifications are turned on on the Fitbit Ace app. For more details, go to Fix phone call and messaging issues on Fitbit Ace LTE.
