Performance Max in Google Ads Editor

The latest version of Google Ads Editor provides full support for Performance Max. You’ll be able to use Google Ads Editor to manage Performance Max campaigns, asset groups, product groups, and conversion goals.

Add and edit Performance Max campaign

You can now add Performance Max campaigns using these steps to add a new campaign. You can also follow the usual steps to edit your campaign settings for Performance Max. In the edit pane you’ll also be able to manage your conversion goals, URL options, as well as labels and comments.

Edit your asset groups and product groups

In the edit pane you can edit multiple asset groups and product groups. You’ll also see settings specific to asset groups and product groups, including the following:

  • Asset group name
  • Status
  • Call to action
  • Business name
  • Ad Strength

You’ll also see pickers for images, videos, headlines, and descriptions. You can expand the picker to view and select assets for the asset group. Items in the picker are shown in the same order in which the asset group has the item specified (For example, “Image 1” will be listed at the top followed by “Image 2”).

Manage your conversion goals

In the edit pane, you can click the pencil icon to the right of “conversion goals” to reach the conversion goal editor. You’ll be able to view a list of your conversion goals and choose which ones you’d like to apply to the selected Performance Max campaign. You can also search for specific goals using the search bar.
