Why can’t I cast audio from my Chrome tab to my Google Cast audio device?
Casting from Chrome browser to your Google Cast audio device is only supported by websites that support Google Cast. Learn how to identify if a website is Cast-enabled.
Why can't I cast music that is stored locally on my mobile device?
Casting music that is locally stored on your device is not supported at this time. Users will need to use a 3rd party application that may be able to help facilitate casting this type of content.
Do all Google Cast-enabled applications work with Google Cast audio devices?
Google Cast audio devices will work with most Google Cast-enabled Music and Audio applications. We're releasing supported applications all the time. Learn more.
How do I name or rename my Google Cast audio device?
Please use the audio device manufacturer application in order to change the name of the device. For additional support, please reference the audio device manual or contact the manufacturer.
How does my Google Cast audio device get SW updates?
Google Cast audio device updates are rolled out gradually and your device will update automatically. It's important that your audio device is receiving power and connected to Wi-Fi in order to receive the update.
