You can change the audio settings of your Google Nest or Home speakers or displays in the Google Home app. You can also change the audio settings of the following Chromecast devices:
- Chromecast (3rd gen or older)
- Chromecast Ultra
- Chromecast Audio

Adjust equalizer
- Open the Google Home app at the top right, check that the app is switched to the Google Account you use to control your device.
- Tap Favorites or Devices .
- Tap and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right, tap Settings Audio Equalizer.
- Adjust Bass and Treble levels.
Turn on surround sound
You can choose to turn on surround sound on your Chromecast (3rd gen or older) or Chromecast Ultra:
- Open the Google Home app at the top right, check that the app is switched to the Google Account you use to control your device.
- Tap Favorites or Devices .
- Tap and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right, tap Settings .
- Scroll down to "Sound settings" tap Surround sound.
Note: By default, surround sound mode will be set to auto-detect. You can change the mode to AC3/EAC3 surround sound, AC3 surround sound only, or Stereo only. Check the modes your TV supports before you change this setting. If you switch to a mode your TV doesn't support, you might not get any audio.
