Straight out of the box, your Google Nest camera or doorbell can stream live video in the Home app or Nest app at no additional cost.
If it’s your first camera, you can also get a trial Nest Aware subscription for a limited time. To view video saved in the cloud after the trial period has ended, purchase a Nest Aware subscription.
If you want to go back and review past activity your camera or doorbell has detected, you can do so in the app. Some cameras offer up to 3 hours of event video history, while others offer up to 3 hours of still image snapshots instead.
Depending on which Nest Aware subscription you choose and the camera or doorbell model you have, your camera can save clips of important activity or continuous video whenever your camera is on.
