Lock screen widgets give you quick access to essential content and features. You can add widgets like Clock, Timer, and Weather to quickly view content while your tablet is locked.
Access lock screen widgets on your Pixel Tablet
To access lock screen widgets:
- Swipe from the right edge of your screen to the left to access your lock screen widgets.
- Tap the widget you’d like to use.
Note: Your lock screen will not have widgets if you’ve disabled it in settings, or if you manually removed all your widgets from the grid.
Turn lock screen widgets on or off
- Open your device's Settings app

- Tap Hub mode

- Turn Show widgets on lock screen on or off.
Add, remove, or reorder widgets
Add widgets
- Swipe from the right edge of your screen to the left to access your lock screen widgets.
- Tap and hold anywhere on the screen.
- Tap Customize widgets.
- Note: You might need to unlock your Pixel Tablet before you can adjust widgets.
- Tap Add widget. The widget picker will open with suggestions.
- Tap and hold the widget you want, then drag it to your desired spot on the grid.
- Tap Done.
Remove widgets
- Swipe from the right edge of your screen to the left to access your lock screen widgets.
- Tap and hold anywhere on the screen.
- Tap Customize widgets.
- Note: You might need to unlock your Pixel Tablet before you can adjust widgets.
- Find the widget you’d like to remove.
- Hold the widget tile and drag up to the Remove area.
- Select the widget and tap Remove.
- A notification appears at the bottom of the screen when the widget is successfully removed. You can revert your changes by tapping Undo.
- Tap Done.
Reorder widgets
- Tap and hold anywhere on the screen.
- Tap Customize widgets.
- Note: You might need to unlock your Pixel Tablet before you can adjust widgets.
- Choose the widget you’d like to reorder.
- Tap and hold the widget tile and drag it to your desired spot on the grid.
- Tap Done.
Note: For first time users, tap on the customization tile to add, remove, or reorder your lock screen widgets.
