Set up Google Meet Calling on your Android TV

You can make and answer 1:1 and group video calls with Meet on your Android TV.

Important: Meetings are not supported on Android TV.

Before you start

To use Meet on your TV, you must:

• Have an Android TV or Android TV device with Android 8.0 Oreo™️ and up.
• Connect a USB camera and microphone to your Android TV or Android TV device, if your Android TV or device doesn’t have one built-in.
• Connect to the internet.

Tips:

• If you use an Android TV Box, plug the camera into its USB port.
• Meet is not supported in Chromecasts on non-Android TVs.
• For audio, you can connect a USB microphone to your Android TV.
• You can’t use the Android TV remote for audio on Meet calls.

Download Meet on your Android TV

1. On your Android TV Home screen, scroll to "Apps."
2. Select Google Play Store .
3. At the top, select Search .
4. Search for “Meet.”
5. Select Install.

Set up Meet on your Android TV

Important: You can't check messages or use effects with Meet on Android TV.

1. On your Android TV, open Meet .
2. To sign in, select your account.
3. Select Give access.
4. To complete the setup, follow the on-screen instructions.

Call someone from your Android TV

1. On your Android TV, open Meet .
2. At the top left, click Search .
3. Search for a contact or group.
4. Select the contact or group you want to call.
5. At the bottom, select Video call or Voice call.

Tip: To receive a call on your Android TV, Meet  must be open.
