Turn on accessibility settings

These instructions are for Enterprise Meet hardware accounts only. For help with Meet on Web, Android, and iOS, go to the Google Meet Help Center.

You can make meetings more accessible by turning on the following accessibility features:

The following steps show how to turn on accessibility settings on different types of Meet hardware. You can also connect a USB keyboard to your Meet hardware to turn on settings. For details, read Connect a USB keyboard for increased accessibility.

Google Meet hardware

To select a specific item, such as a button, tap the item. Double-tap to activate it.

  1. On the touchscreen, tap Settings .
  2. Select Accessibility.
  3. Tap On  or Off  to turn a feature on or off.

Chromebox 

On the remote control, hold down the arrow keys to pan around the screen.

  1. Using the remote control arrows, select Settings .
  2. Select Accessibility .
  3. Press Up  and Down  arrows to highlight a feature.
  4. Press Select.
    The feature is on when checked.

​To return to the Home screen, select Menu  twice. To go back to the main Settings page, select it once.

Chromebase 

  1. On the bottom right of the screen, tap or click More and thenSettings.
  2. Select Accessibility .
  3. Tap or click On  or Off  to turn a feature on or off.
