About conversion window

The conversion window determines how far back in time an event is eligible for attribution credit. For example, if you have a conversion window of 30 days, after a customer clicks on your organic products, any transaction that happens on your website by that customer in the next 30 days will count as a conversion in your Merchant Center reporting. Changes to the conversion window only affect how conversions are counted from that point on.

To update the conversion window:

  1. In your Merchant Center account, click the Settings & tools icon Tools and setting menu icon [Gear].
  2. Click Conversion settings.
  3. For website conversions,
    • Click on the name of the conversion you would like to change.
    • Select a conversion window of 7, 30, 40 days. 40 days is the recommended conversion window.
  4. For Google analytics conversions, update the conversion window in Google Analytics.
  5. Click Save.
