In Merchant Center, you can now use generated insights and the performance assistant that help you summarize performance of your products, generate custom reports, and receive suggestions for what to do next.
These are experimental features in Merchant Center and are only available in the US to a limited number of merchants.
- You can find the generated summary and recommended next steps based on your performance in the “Summary” page under “Analytics”.
- You can use generative AI to create a custom report in “Custom reports” under “Analytics”.
We are constantly improving the accuracy and quality of generated content, but experimental features may not always generate accurate results. Your queries may be logged for product improvement, and human reviewers may process (including reading and annotating) your questions to help guide conversations for quality purposes. Don’t provide any sensitive or personally identifiable information.

Generated insights
In your Merchant Center, go to the “Analytics” tab and click Summary. You can find a short summary at the top of the page that helps you quickly understand:
- recent changes in traffic to product pages on your online store and product traffic data.
- recommendations to boost your performance.
The content in this short summary is frequently updated based on your latest product traffic data, website traffic data, and suggestions for what to do next in Merchant Center.
Opting out
You can temporarily dismiss the feature using the 3-dot menu on the card.
Feedback and product improvement
You can provide feedback on this experience by clicking the or icon on the card. Content on the card will also be recorded along with your feedback for feature improvements.
Generated reports
In your Merchant Center, go to the “Analytics” tab and click Custom reports. Here, you can use generated custom reports and visualizations to help answer questions about your performance data. Generative AI uses the performance data in your Merchant Center to answer your questions. For example, you can try asking:
- How do my clicks for this month compare to last month?
- My top products from last Christmas.
- Show me my most popular brands by CTR.
You can use this feature in the following scenarios:
- When you want to quickly generate a report with specific requirements or filters.
- When you want to explore visualizations that can help answer your questions about your data.
Feedback
You can provide feedback on this experience by clicking the or icon on the card. Your query and any generated content will be collected for feature improvements.
Performance assistant
In your Merchant Center, you can ask the Performance assistant to evaluate your product performance and get deeper analysis to optimize your products. For example, you can try asking:
- What are my most popular products right now?
- Anything unusual I should look at in my categories?
- What stands out in my performance in the last 7 days?
- How has my top product performance changed over time?
How to use the Performance assistant
- In your Merchant Center, click Summary under the “Analytics" tab.
- In the top right corner, click Ask about performance.
- Select a suggested question or ask a question to start a chat with Performance assistant.
