When writing a review, follow these guidelines:
- Focus on what you liked or disliked about a product and your own experience using it.
- Don't include inappropriate content.
- Don't share full names, URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, or other forms of contact information.
Policies
Reviews are moderated by a third-party provider to detect inappropriate content that violate our guidelines. We reserve the right not to publish or to take down reviews that contain any of the following:
Spam and fake content
Customer reviews of Google Hardware products should accurately represent the products in question. Where reviews distort truth, we will remove content.
Your content should reflect your genuine experience of a product, and should not be posted just to manipulate a product’s ratings. Don’t post fake content, don’t post the same content multiple times, and don't post content for the same product from multiple accounts.
Misleading information
We don’t allow individuals to use the Google Store to mislead others. This applies to deceptive or inaccurate reviews or content as well as false representations.
Do not attribute your review or the content in it to another individual, company, or organization if you are not authorized to represent them.
Google reserves the right to remove content, including reviews, suspend accounts, or pursue other legal action against those who falsely claim that they represent or are employed by Google.
Foreign languages
Customer reviews of Google Hardware products should be written in the language of the local market and intended audience. Reviews that are written in languages other than the language of the intended audience will be rejected.
Off topic content
Post only content based on your experience of a Google Hardware product and not on your purchase experience (for example, customer service or delivery times).
Content that does not meet these standards will be removed.
Product safety issues
If you have any concerns about product safety issues, contact the Google Support team.
Restricted content
For some products or services subject to controls and local regulations, you must follow certain guidelines when writing a review. Your review may not feature calls-to-action or offers for the sale of products or services that are subject to local legal regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, alcohol, gambling, tobacco, guns, health and medical devices, regulated pharmaceuticals, adult services, and financial services.
Your review shouldn’t display:
Illegal content
We don't accept reviews that are illegal or that contain content depicting illegal activity. This includes:
Terrorist content
We do not permit terrorist organizations to use this service for any purpose, including recruitment. We also strictly prohibit content related to terrorism, such as content that promotes terrorist acts, incites violence, or celebrates terrorist attacks.
Sexually explicit content
We don't allow content that contains sexually explicit material. Also, we absolutely don’t allow content that sexually exploits children or present them in a sexual manner. We will remove this type of content, shut down the account, and send a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
Offensive content
We will remove reviews that contain obscene, profane, or offensive language or gestures.
Dangerous and derogatory content
Google Store is a place for safe communications among consumers. For this reason, we don’t permit merchants or consumers to post dangerous or derogatory reviews, including content that:
Conflict of interest
Customer-contributed reviews of Google Hardware are most valuable when they are honest and unbiased.
You must disclose in your reviews if you've received any Google product for free or in exchange for writing reviews.
