Let your friends follow your drive in real time and know when you arrive at your destination.
Using Waze in your car? Share your drive from your phone. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure to disconnect your phone first.
- Start navigation
- Tap your ETA
- Tap Share drive
- Select the app you want to use to share your drive and follow the instructions on screen
Note: Shared drives appear as green solid lines on the Waze map.

- Tap your ETA
- Tap Drive shared
- Tap Stop sharing

How do I know my drive is being viewed?
You'll see a pop-up alert on the Waze screen, whenever someone opens the link to your drive and taps View drive.
How do I view a drive that was shared with me?
- Tap the shared drive link
- Tap View drive
By tapping you allow Waze to:
- Send you push notifications about the drive
- Display your name and photo in the driver's app (registered users only)
Note: If you close the shared drive, you can tap the shared drive icon at the top right of your screen to get back to it. The icon appears until the drive ends or the driver stops sharing the drive.
Using Waze on a web browser? No problem. Click the shared link and then click View drive. You can follow the drive on the Waze website.
