Use Google Calendar on your watch

You can use Google Calendar with your Wear OS watch to:

  • Check your schedule and tasks
  • Get notified of events and tasks
  • Complete tasks
  • Respond to events
  • Delete events and tasks

You can find event and tasks details for Google Accounts added to your watch. You will receive notifications for events and tasks even when your watch is not connected to your phone.

When your watch and phone are connected, you receive a notification on your watch for any event or task added to Google Calendar on your phone.

Important:

  • Internet connection on your watch is required to sync new data.
  • Google Calendar is different from Agenda, which is a view-only calendar app and tile built into Wear OS.
  • Google Calendar is replacing Agenda from Wear OS 4 onward.
  • Google Calendar on Wear OS doesn't support certain phone-based features like:
    • Work Profile or Managed Workspace accounts
    • Non-Google accounts
  • You can view events from multiple Google accounts in Calendar when you add them to your watch.
  • Google Calendar on Wear OS supports bridged notifications for phone-based events and tasks.

Troubleshoot sync

Important:

  • All actions, like changing the response status on a calendar event and receiving notifications, are supported even when your phone and watch aren't connected.
  • You can check events and tasks on your watch for up to 4 weeks in the future. Events more than 30 days in the future aren’t available on your watch but can be found on Calendar in your web browser or in the Calendar mobile app.
  • You don't need to use the calendar sync settings in your watch’s companion app because Google Calendar isn't impacted by this setting.

Google Calendar on Wear OS shows calendars for accounts added to your watch. On the watch, calendars for these accounts are shown when they’re also visible on Google Calendar on your phone. To change visibility:

  1. On your Android device, open the Calendar app Calendar.
  2. On the top left, tap Menu Menu.
  3. Select the calendars that you want shown on your watch.
