To help you find books, Google Books uses data from third-party providers who collect info about what’s available. Sometimes books aren’t available to read or purchase directly from a search result so we show you info about books you can find somewhere else.

To let you discover and locate as many books as possible, Google Books uses 3rd party data and other publicly available information from:
- Publishers who use our Google Play Books publisher program.
- Books scanned through the Library Project.
- Providers that aggregate book data like EBSCO and The National Diet Library, Japan.
- Websites like Wikipedia.
Info about how to borrow books
When you search for a book in Google Books, you can find options for places near you to borrow the book. The info in the "Borrow" section comes from partnerships with third-party providers.
