Verify your address with PIN in AdSense for YouTube

If you’re in the YouTube Partner Program, we’ll ask you to verify your identity and address, when your earnings hit the verification threshold. Before you hit the verification threshold, make sure the payment name and address in your AdSense for YouTube account are correct.

How to verify your address

1. Enter your payments address

When you activate your AdSense for YouTube account, enter your payments address.

2. Reach the verification threshold and verify your identity

When your earnings reach the verification threshold and you successfully verify your identity, we’ll send a unique 6-digit Personal Identity Number (PIN) to your payments address via international standard mail. We don’t provide a tracking number for the PIN mail, so make sure your payments address can get standard mail.

Note: If we've asked you to verify your identity, we won't send your PIN until after you've successfully completed identity verification.

3. Wait for your PIN

It usually takes 3-4 weeks for your PIN mail to arrive. If you don’t get your PIN mail in 3-4 weeks, you can request a replacement PIN.

4. Verify your address

You have 4 months from the date your PIN is generated to complete address verification. When you get your PIN mail, verify your payments address immediately:

Sign in to your AdSense for YouTube account.

Click Payments Verification check.

Enter the PIN exactly as it appears in your PIN mail. If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times, your channel will be demonetized. If you need to reset your PIN verification limit, you can request a replacement PIN.

Click Submit.

Now your payments address is verified! You'll get paid when your account balance reaches the payments threshold, as long as there are no holds on your account and you're in compliance with the AdSense Terms and Conditions or the AdSense for YouTube Terms and Conditions (whichever is applicable).

Note: If you haven't verified your payments address after 4 months, your channel will be demonetized.

FAQs

Fraudulent activity has been associated with my address and I can’t verify my address. What should I do?

If your address has been associated with fraudulent activity, you'll need to change your payments address to a new, valid postal address that can get your PIN. Your new address must be different from your previous one. If you can't provide a valid payments address, your channel will be demonetized.

After your new address is verified, you can request a PIN:

Sign in to your AdSense for YouTube account.
Click Payments Verification check.
Click Resend PIN.

Why haven’t I received my PIN mail?

If your PIN hasn't arrived after 3-4 weeks, review Problems with your address verification (PIN) for possible reasons and troubleshooting help.

I’ve requested the 4th replacement PIN mail and still haven’t gotten it after 3 weeks. What should I do?

My address verification failed, what should I do?

If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times, you will fail the address verification and your account will be demonetized. To reset your PIN verification limit, request a replacement PIN.

I haven’t passed address verification after 4 months and my channel has been demonetized. What should I do?

If you haven't successfully verified your payments address after 4 months, we’ll demonetize your channel. To extend your address verification timeline, you can contact us for help.
